TTM Healthcare and DFI partnership

TTM HEALTHCARE SOLUTIONS PROUDLY SPONSORS THE DISABILITY FEDERATION OF IRELAND (DFI) WEBINAR SERIES 2022

As a company committed to helping our partners, candidates and team members realise potential – we know the extraordinary things people can achieve. And when those people combine their strengths with the drive of others – the impact can shift our world. This simple belief in partnership is behind TTM’s Healthcare’s collaboration with the Disability Federation of Ireland (DFI) and our sponsorship of their Webinar Series for 2022 which launched this week.

This important Webinar Series is part of the DFI’s mission to help its member organisations manage some of the challenges they face as providers of disability services and will take place across three different events throughout 2022. The aim of the series is to provide support and information on relevant topics and help create a space for organisations to share their perspectives and understand how other members are dealing with issues.

TTM Healthcare Solutions is delighted to be backing the work of the DFI in this way as it reflects our own commitment to supporting the needs of people with disabilities, and their families. We are the largest supplier of health and social care professionals to disability services nationwide, deploying our staff to provide short-, medium- and long-term cover across day, residential and respite services.

Our expert teams specialise in attracting and recruiting specific grades of healthcare professionals - from Nurses and Social Care Workers to Healthcare Assistants and Support Workers. We also recruit grades of support services professionals, including Cleaners, Porters, Admin/Management, IT Professionals and more. Our Healthcare Process Outsourcing (HPO) division allows our partners to outsource non-core activities to TTM’s experienced specialist teams – such as Healthcare Clinical and Administrative Services, Healthcare Workforce Solutions and Healthcare Business Process Outsourcing. In addition, our TTM Training & Consultancy division offers the full suite of mandatory training required by organisations in the sector.

“At TTM Healthcare Solutions we’ve built our business around our mission of enhancing the quality of people’s lives. We see the sponsorship of the DFI’s Webinar Series as giving back to the disability organisations we work with and helping to increase awareness. It’s a meaningful way in which we can support the DFI in their work advocating for the voice of the person with a disability.”

Let’s Create an Ireland for All

The DFI tells us that there are over 600,000 people with disabilities in Ireland – and many are denied basic rights. The DFI’s purpose is to ensure that changes are made that would bring equality for people with disabilities. From getting an education and finding and keeping a job, to accessing buildings and healthcare – the DFI works with our members to ensure people with disabilities enjoy the fullest lives possible.

DFI Head of Development, Kevin Dempseyshares with us the important work of the organisation:

“Disability is a societal issue that touches the lives of everyone in Ireland in some way - whether that is through a family member, friend or work colleague. We are a federation of over 120 member organisations that work to create an Ireland where everyone can thrive and is equally valued. All our members rely on us to advocate on their behalf and represent them for policy change and sustainability issues - always ensuring that the voice of the person with a disability is heard.

“We constantly monitor the implementation of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UN CRPD) – which sets an international standard for how people with disabilities should be treated. We provide information, webinars, advice and support for people with disabilities, disability organisations and the public.

“For example, we recently trained 14 local authority staff in the use of the UN CRPD in their work – with the long-term goal of improving local authority policies around disability. This helped to raise awareness of the UN CRPD and the rights of people with disabilities while demonstrating how the UN CRPD can apply to local authority work.”

The DFI’s members include national organisations such as Enable Ireland, The Irish Wheelchair Association, CRC and Alzheimer Society of Ireland. Regional organisations are also represented including Galway Autism Partnership and Bluestack Special Needs Foundation.

Together We Can Do More

So much of the work of the DFI resonates with TTM’s mission and vision– an organisation committed to Enhancing the Quality of People’s Lives. Both the DFI and the team at TTM Healthcare Solutions understand the importance of working collectively to make a big impact and know that every person individually has the power to drive change.

“The DFI is excited to be partnering with TTM. We understand the value of an organisation like TTM Healthcare Solutions and it is vital that DFI collaborate with organisations like them as an important part of our strategy.”

Kevin Dempsey - DFI Head of Fundraising & Development

A Dynamic Programme

As the Webinar Series progresses, staff from the DFI member organisations will be able to identify areas in which they need support and information, and the DFI will source the best possible national and international speakers to address them. Throughout the programme, members will be asked to give their feedback so that the Series continues to deliver relevant and valuable content. The second sponsored Webinar, titled Emerging From Covid-19: Opportunities for Innovation under the UN CRPD, focusing on Person Centred Learning will take place on Tuesday May 17th.
