Medical doctor job opportunities
An important update on January Rotations and Job Opportunites with TTM Healthcare Solutions in Ireland

If you’re looking for a doctor job vacancy in Ireland… If you’re wanting to grow your career or keen to return home to Ireland as a hospital doctor, now is the time to do it. Rotation of doctors is set for January 2023, and as a Framework Provider of Doctors to the Health Services Executive (HSE), our leading healthcare recruitment company is ready to get you moving…

In the Irish healthcare system Senior House Doctors (SHOs) and Registrars are rotated each January and July. This means doctors are moved to different hospitals and new jobs become available. At TTM Healthcare Solutions (TTM) we’re proud to partner with Ireland’s Health Service Executive (HSE) and the Health and Social Care (HSC) in Northern Ireland recruiting doctors for these rotations – which gives you the opportunity to work with some of the largest University Teaching Hospitals in Ireland. We’re here to help place you right at the heart of the country’s medical centres of excellence – and to make your move overseas as smooth and easy as possible.

At TTM, our Medical division looks after the recruitment of doctors from both abroad and here in Ireland. Heading up the team is Principal Recruitment Consultant, Siju Paul who told us more about the January intake of doctors here in Ireland and the benefits TTM offers you as a doctor keen to work overseas.

Candidates just need to get in touch to start finding out what’s available and how they can benefit.

Siju, what opportunities will be available in January?

We will be recruiting qualified doctors who have completed their training as Senior House Doctors and Registrars. We will recruit medical doctors across all specialties and from many different countries, including South Africa, Pakistan, Sudan, Egypt, Malaysia and European countries. These are roles with fixed-term contracts – offering not just an excellent career move, but an opportunity to embrace a new country, culture and lifestyle.

The roles offer HSE pay scales, educational assistance, training opportunities and career development.

What qualifications are required for these roles?

To be eligible you will need to be registered with the Irish Medical Council (IMC) and hold a relevant post-graduate medical qualification with 4 or 5 years of experience in your field of medicine.

Why come to TTM for a medical doctor job overseas?

It’s an easy decision! We’re a specialist healthcare recruitment company. Healthcare is what we do, and nobody understands the needs of clients and candidates in this sector like we do. Doctors who work with us know their careers are in good hands.

Secondly, we get the jobs, it’s that simple. TTM is a Framework agency for fixed contract and locum doctors’ roles for both the HSE and the HSC in Northern Ireland. This means we are a preferred supplier – and it speaks volumes about our competency and professionalism. Candidates who come to us know they are accessing plenty of quality placement options.

What brings Doctors to leave other countries and come to Ireland?

Doctors come in search of better training, better career path progression – and a better all-round lifestyle. They’re not disappointed.

How does TTM make a move like this a little easier?

Our dedicated Compliance Division can help with the necessary Compliancy documentation, and we can assist with applying for a visa. We also offer full on-boarding, including helping with accommodation. Obviously, it’s a big move and the doctors we bring in want to know the ins and outs of life in Ireland – the tax system, the cost of living, property and transport. We’re here for that too.

What else can your division do in terms of medical doctor jobs overseas?

We’re the first and last word in international doctor jobs. At TTM we manage Domestic and International recruitment of Consultant and Senior Consultant Doctors with opportunities to work in hospitals and other settings in Ireland and Northern Ireland. This can include working in the public health services, private hospitals, general practitioner clinics and care facilities. From doctors surgery jobs to hospital doctor jobs. We place doctors in both locum and fixed-term contracts of 6 months or 12 months. We work across all medical disciplines – from Anaesthesia, Psychiatry, Orthopaedics, General Medicine and Emergency Medicine, Paediatrics and Gynaecology.

What about you personally? What benefits do you bring?

I have been with TTM for 12 years, starting as a junior and moving up to Principal Consultant. I have built up excellent client relationships over the years, and there’s not much more I don’t know about this side of recruitment! My colleague Jennifer Vance has been with me for 8+ years – so together, we bring years of experience, knowledge and market understanding. I am also a two-time Finalist in the National Recruitment Federation Awards here in Ireland.
