Wexford and the immediate surrounding counties. We have a variety of healthcare settings available including; Intellectual Disability, Physical & Sensory Disabilities, Community Work, Acute & Elderly Care.
Description
We are primarily looking for staff at Support Worker level, who have extensive experience in working with intellectual disabilities and who are based in Wexford. Working as part of the Social Care team, including a Team Leader & fellow Support Workers, you will be providing care to adults with intellectual disabilities and autism in a residential setting. Some general duties will include; personal care, facilitating activities, accompanying residents on social outings and assisting with activities of daily living. These services will roster staff directly on a monthly basis, and you can expect full time hours, consisting of 3 to 4 weekly 12hr shifts. Candidates must be available for a mixture of day and night shifts.
Requirements
To be eligible for the role, Support Workers will need:
A minimum of a FETAC Level 5 Major Award in Healthcare Support/ Pre-nursing Studies. (All 8 Modules complete, 120 Credits).
Must have eligibility to work in Ireland.
Have a minimum of 3 months recent experience in a caring/support role.
Must be available to work 12hr shifts both days & nights.
Have fluent written & spoken English.
Must have (or be willing to complete) training as required.
Ideally have their own access to transport
