Job Title: Ultrasonographer
Contract Type: Permanent, Full Time
Salary: 47,714 55,281 per annum
TTM Healthcare have an exciting opportunity for an Ultrasonographer to work in one of Ireland's Leading Private Healthcare Organisations based in Dublin.
As a Sonographer, you will be specialised in the management of the Ultrasound Service
Duties:
•Provide a high quality Ultrasound service to all patients.
•To be competent to work alone and unaided in the delivery of the Ultrasound service.
•Ensure all Ultrasounds are of diagnostic quality.
•Perform ultrasounds of the abdomen, head and neck, small parts, thyroid, renal, general, pelvic, TV and urinary tract systems.
•Understand ultrasound physics, cross sectional anatomy, physiology and pathology.
•Provide a preliminary report on all Ultrasounds for Consultant Radiologist.
•Ensure timely communication with the Consultant (on call if applicable) on all problematic ultrasounds.
•Deliver the highest standards of patient care through providing compassionate care and creating a professional environment.
•Communicate with the patient effectively and empathetically.
Requirements:
•Diploma of College of Radiographers or Degree in Radiography or an equivalent qualification validated by the Irish Institute of Radiographers
•Diploma in Medical Ultrasound or equivalent
•Minimum 3 years post DMU experience
•CORU registration desirable
•Excellent Ultrasound skills and experience to include General, Upper Abdominal, Pelvic, TV, Small Parts, Vascular (Carotid and Leg Venous) Ultrasound
•Awareness of radiation safety legislation and regulations essential
•Knowledge of current theory and practice in Diagnostic Radiography essential
