Staff Nurse- Theatre Permanent - Sligo

TTM Healthcare are proud to be recruiting for our Client who require an experienced Theatre nurse to join the team at a hospital in Sligo. This is a full time permanent position.

The Theatre nurse will be expected to assist in a wide range of specialities including:

General
Ophthalmology
Gynaecology
ENT
Urology
Endoscopy
Orthopaedics

Assistance may also be provided to anaesthetic and PACU.

Duties include:

  • Provide direct care to assigned patients.
  • To develop specialist knowledge of nursing practice relating to his or her clinical area.
  • Observe and record signs, symptoms, and behaviours; present the assessment of changes, the proposed revision of interventions, and desired outcomes.
  • Support the theatre manager by meeting agreed responsibilities as set out by the theatre manager or the chief nursing officer at any time.
  • Identify and discuss nursing and patient needs with consultants and nursing team, multidisciplinary team, patients, and carers.
  • Ensure that the highest possible standards of patient care and patient safety are maintained at all times.
  • Perform related duties as required.

Requirements:

The successful candidate will need to meet the following criteria:

  • Must be registered with the Irish nursing Board, NMBI (RGN)
  • Must have at least 1 years post registration experience in Theatre
  • Must be permitted to work in Ireland
