THE OPPORTUNITY:
Special Needs Assistant/SNA's required to join a panel of Social Care Workers, Healthcare Assistants and other SNAs in an ID residential setting in Fermoy Co.Cork

THE BACKGROUND:

At TTM Healthcare we are working alongside a client in Cork looking to recruit a dedicated team to work in their Fermoy Service. This service provides support to children and adults with intellectual and physical disabilities as well as those that present on the autism spectrum. This service prides itself on the potential to grow, progress and offers you the opportunity to move into a permanent role for those successful on an agency basis first.

THE RESPONSIBILITIES:

The people appointed to these posts will be working alongside an experienced team in assisting service users with the activities of their daily living. Working hand in hand with service users to promote and maintain their independence, moulding the day around the service users needs and supporting individualized plans based on their needs and interests.

Successful candidates will be required to work a minimum of 27 hours per week and be flexible in their availability for work.

Their dedicated team will be on site to guide and support you through an in-depth induction period and throughout the role.

THE REQUIREMENTS:


To be eligible for the role candidates must hold a relevant Fetac Qualification as a special needs assistant.
Experience in working with disabilities/challenging behaviour would be favourable.
Due to the current pandemic applicants will be required to work in this service only and not have any other work commitments in the healthcare sector.

Full Training will be provided by the service. Training required is as follows:
-Patient Moving and Handling
-Children's First
-Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults
-Management of actual and potential aggression (MAPA)
-Fire safety
