THE BACKGROUND:
This organisation is based in Dungarvan and provides care to service users with intellectual disabilities. The service has Residential settings, Day Services and Respite Care.
This requirement is within their Respite Services. Working within a team of staff, you will provide support to clients in all aspects of daily living while enhancing the quality of their day to day lives.
This service is offering a consistent roster for approx. 6 months.
The shifts are DAY SHIFTS ONLY.
Full Driver Licence Required
Your Educational Responsibilities:
A minimum of a FETAC Level 5 Major Award in Healthcare Support/ Pre-nursing Studies. (All 8 Modules complete, 120 Credits).
Your Communication Responsibilities:
Fluent written and spoken English and excellent report writing skills.
THE REQUIREMENTS:
To be eligible for the role, you will need to:
• A minimum of a FETAC Level 5 Major Award in Healthcare Support/ Pre-nursing Studies. (All 8 Modules complete, 120 Credits).
• Must have eligibility to work in Ireland.
• Have a minimum of 3 months recent experience in a caring/support/specialing role.
• Have fluent written & spoken English.
• Must have (or be willing to complete) training as required.

The pay rates for this service would be a Point of scale from 1-10 based on your own experience.
Starting at 13.48 to 19.48 (depending on your experience)
If you have experience in working closely with adults with intellectual disabilities and are looking for a consistent roster
The Service Manager is looking to induct suitable staff from early June and once inductions have been completed, staff will be placed onto the monthly roster.
