TTM are recruiting a panel of experienced Support Workers/Healthcare Assistants to work within an intellectual disability residential service with one of our clients based in Cork City, Mitchelstown and Mallow and Cobh.


Job Summary:

We are recruiting for a large non profit voluntary ID service in Cork. Non-profit means that this organisation works only to benefit the people it supports.This voluntary service supports over 2,800 children and adults with intellectual disabilities and/or autism.
This service is in 65 places in Cork City and

County providing the following services:
• Progressing Disability Services
• Early Intervention
• Education
• Training
• Autism Spectrum Disorder
• Homes
• Short Breaks
• Support
• Physical Activity and Sports
• Arts and Creative Therapies
• Garden Centres.

Candidates can expect to work 12 hour day or night shifts

We are currently supporting a large voluntary service with their own recruitment drive where candidates stand the opportunity to gain a 12 month contract directly with this service should they be suitable as agency workers.


HSE pay rates apply with the following premiums paid for unsociable working hours

• Mon - Sat Twilight ( x 1 1/6)
• Mon - Sat Night ( x 1 1/4)
• Sun (x 2)
• Sun Twilight ( x 2 1/6)
• Sun Night ( x 2 1/4)


Required Education, Skills and Qualifications:

• A minimum of a FETAC 5 in Healthcare or a Social Care Degree - Level 7 minimum.
• Previous experience in a caring/support/ monitoring role working with children and adults who present with intellectual and physical disabilities.
• Knowledge of HIQA standards.
• Have fluent written and spoken English and excellent report writing skills.
• Be available for a minimum of 27 hours per week.


Training's required:

• Patient Manual handling
• Child Protection
• Fire Safety
• Safe Guarding of Vulnerable Adults
• MAPA (Units 1-10)


The Service Manager is keen to induct suitable and interested candidates as soon as possible.
