TTM are recruiting a panel of experienced Support Workers/ Healthcare Assistants to work within an intellectual disability service with one of our clients based in Lisnagry, Co. Limerick.
Job Summary:
Situated in a suburban setting on the approach road to Limerick from Dublin this Centre has a large campus of residential buildings. There are a large number of adults living on campus in various models of accommodation comprising of 6 bedded bungalows, 7 bedded or 10 bedded residential units, both low support and high support. The service acknowledges that not all of this accommodation is appropriate to the needs of the individuals and continues to work towards transferring service users to community living opportunities.
Candidates can expect to work 12 hour day or night shifts
We are currently supporting DOC with their own recruitment drive where candidate stand the opportunity to gain a 12 month contract directly with Daughters of Charity should they be suitable as agency workers.
HSE pay rates apply with the following premiums paid for unsociable working hours
Mon - Sat Twilight ( x 1 1/6)
Mon - Sat Night ( x 1 1/4)
Sun (x 2)
Sun Twilight ( x 2 1/6)
Sun Night ( x 2 1/4)
Required Education, Skills and Qualifications:
A minimum of a FETAC 5 in Healthcare or a Social Care Degree - Level 7 minimum.
Previous experience in a caring/support/ monitoring role working with children and adults who present with intellectual and physical disabilities.
Knowledge of HIQA standards.
Have fluent written and spoken English and excellent report writing skills.
Be available for a minimum of 27 hours per week.
Training's required:
Patient Manual handling
Child Protection
Fire Safety
Safe Guarding of Vulnerable Adults
MAPA (Units 1-10)
The Service Manager is keen to induct suitable and interested candidates as soon as possible.
