We have positions available for Elderly Care Staff Nurses in our client's 100+ bedded facility located in South Dublin. Our client will invest in you and will provide training to assist you with your own career path. Our client promotes from within and most recently trained and promoted their Staff Nurses to senior positions within a 12 month period.

Staff Nurse Position:
The overall responsibility within this role will be to ensure that all work is client focused and upholds the principles of choice, respect, dignity, privacy, independence and fulfilment.

You are required to:

Ensure a high standard in care of the elderly is maintained at all times.
Lead the Healthcare Assistants in providing high quality of direct and indirect care.
Build strong relationships with residents to encourage trust, and understand their needs.
Evaluate resident care needs and in-conjunction with the multi-disciplinary team implement and evaluate individualised care plans that meet the resident's needs.
Ensure all documentation relating to residents is accurately maintained in accordance with the regulatory requirements.

Essential Criteria:

Nursing Degree is essential (Registered General Nurse)
Candidates must be registered with An Bord Altranais
A qualification in Gerontology desirable, but not essential
Excellent Clinical, Organisational skills
Sound decision-making ability
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
