Staff nurses required for a number of areas across a large acute hospital in Cork. These are full time, permanent contracts.
Due to the development of services within the hospital, vacancies now exist across many medical and surgical wards as well as some specialised areas (ICU, Theatre, Emergency Department) These positions are available to both experienced nurses and those with limited experience hoping to progress in certain areas.

Responsibilities:
The main purpose of the role is to provide exceptional professional nursing care to assigned patients.
Duties include:
- Provide direct care to assigned patients.
- Take the nursing history, summarise data, and state nursing diagnoses and patient care needs.
- Observe and record signs, symptoms, and behaviours, including the physiological status of patients; present the assessment of changes, the proposed revision of interventions, and desired outcomes.
- Follows policy for activating an individualised plan of care for newly admitted patients.
- Deliver designated nursing interventions to assigned patients that are consistent with the stated medical plan of care.
- Perform admission, discharge and transfer procedures, and assist others with patient's activities and care.
- Document nursing care in all assigned patient records.
- Maintain patient's privacy and confidentiality of information and records at all times.
- Evaluate care given including the patient response.
- Perform related duties as required.
Requirements:
The successful candidate will need to meet the following criteria:
- Must be registered with the Irish nursing Board, NMBI (RGN)
- Must have at least 1 years experience within an acute hospital setting, in the last 3 years.
- Must be permitted to work in Ireland
