Staff Nurse - Full Time Permanent - 10 minutes from Cork City
Our client a 39 bedded Care Centre which is about 10 minutes drive from Cork city is actively recruiting a full time staff nurse.
About the Care Home :-
The Home is set in its own grounds, well away from the road and traffic. They care for up to 39 residents. Each person has different needs; some are quite mobile while others have different dependency levels, needing on-going nursing care.
They have 21 single rooms, eight twin rooms and one triple room, most of which are en-suite. The Home is a single-storey building, so there are no stairs. They have a kitchen and dining area, three day rooms, an outside patio area with seating and a garden to enjoy in fine weather.
The professional team of over 40 qualified and experienced staff including registered nurses, healthcare assistants, housekeeping, catering, administration, maintenance and activity co-ordinators.
Salary Negotiable Salary
Benefits :
Double time for Bank Holidays
Extra premiums for working weekends
Breaks are paid
Meals provided
Uniform is supplied
Rostered Hours :
12 hour shifts
Working a minimum of one weekend per month
Job Summary:
The Staff Nurse will assess, plan, implement and evaluate care to the highest professional and ethical standards within the nursing home. The successful candidate will provide holistic, person centred care, promoting optimum independence and enhancing the quality of life for our residents. The successful candidate will ensure that his/her knowledge and skills are utilised effectively and efficiently to facilitate and provision of an equitable and quality client focused service that enhances the health status of the residents.
Qualifications/Experience:
Essential:
· Nursing Qualification
· Must be currently registered with Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI)
Desirable:
· Previous experience in care of the elderly
