TTM Healthcare are currently recruiting a Staff nurse on behalf of their client based in Donegal.
We are ideally looking for an Intellectual Disability trained nurse OR a nurse with a minimum of 3 years experience in the intellectual disability service sector.
This is a full time permanent role working 39 hours per week.
The Role:
The Staff Nurse will be responsible for the management, direct care provisions and support of service users with Intellectual disabilities, both adults and children, to ensure that the optimum standard of care is provided within the service and will provide clinical and professional leadership and development to the care work team.
The Staff Nurse will support the Services Manager in the delivery of quality client focus care in a person centred respite service.
Requirements:
• Full registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Ireland
• RNID qualification or a minimum of 3 years' experience in the area of Intellectual Disabilities.
• Experience of working with individuals with Intellectual Disability.
• Experience in maintaining a safe environment for service users at all times in line with organisational and legislative requirements. Experience in providing a high standard of nursing care and the maintenance of nursing records
• Responsibility for co-ordination of person centered plans and provide required support and care to clients on an individual person centered basis, in line with the client's requests and wishes in a respectful and dignified manner to ensure that clients are leading their service of care.
