Speech and Language Therapist
Speech and Language Therapist to join St Lukes Hospital Rathgar. The Speech and Language Therapist will be working with client groups that have head and neck cancer and have difficulties speaking and swallowing/eating. This is a contracted role for 3 - 6 months with scope for Extension.
Duties:
•Be responsible for assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation of treatment / intervention programmes for service users according to professional standards.
•Communicate results of assessments and recommendations to the service user and relevant others as appropriate.
•Provide a high quality, effective and evidence-based service that is current and responsive to patient needs
•Ensure that professional standards are maintained in relation to confidentiality, ethics and legislation.
Requirements:
•A Relevant Qualification is required
•CORU registration mandatory
•Eligibility to work in Ireland (hold a working visa)
•Dysphagia training is essential
