Speech & Language Therapist (Basic Grade)
Permanent Contract - 35 hours per week
Location: Athy, Co. Kildare
HSE Salary Scale: €41,075 - €59,360
On behalf of our clients, TTM Healthcare are looking to recruit a basic grade Speech and Language Therapist based in Athy, Kildare
The successful candidate will join an established Interdisciplinary CDNT, which reconfigured in 2014, providing quality, evidenced based and family-centred supports for children and young people aged 0-18 years, who present with complex needs associated with a disability, within an interdisciplinary framework, to support their development to enable active participation in community life.
Responsibilities:
Providing high quality services to children and young people with a range of disabilities and complex needs
Collaborating with children/young people while working in partnership with their family/carers and other relevant stakeholders to identify and achieve goals
Working in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team in the planning and delivery of services
Taking initiative to move the service forward and show a willingness to try out new ideas that add service delivery value
Ensure that all records and technical data are up to date and available if required
Ensure strict compliance with health and safety standards and adhere to operational guidelines
Requirements:
A Degree in Speech and Language Therapy
Have experience in a similar role (Experience working with children/young people is desirable)
Be registered with CORU
Hold an appropriate and effective set of professional values and beliefs and behave in line with professional standards
Demonstrate sufficient clinical skills in assessment intervention and diagnostics
Communicate effectively with children/young people, their families, and the interdisciplinary team to provide a client and family centred service
Some flexibility in working hours will be required to meet the needs of the service
Full Clean Licence access to own vehicle
