Social Worker - Dublin North East region
Base flexible depending on desk avilability

They have an available opportunity for a Social Worker on the Sexual Abuse Regional Team with excellent Child Protection and a particular interest in the area od retrospective abuse and sexual abuse assessments.

THE RESPONSIBILITIES:
The overall responsibility within this role will be to
• Provide an initial assessment service to the care group and to develop referral procedures and other social work networked services.
• Ensure the welfare of those under your care.
• Identify service user's individual and collective needs in partnership with them and create early interventions and/or social action strategies to meet those needs.
• Monitor and evaluate outcomes of person-centred care plans for individual service users.
• Keep the Team Leader fully informed and up to date on all significant matters.
THE REQUIREMENTS:
To be eligible for the role, you will need to:
• Hold a recognised qualification as a Social Worker.
• Hold full CORU Registration or be in the process of obtaining.
• Have 2-3 years Child Protection experience ideally.
• Be able to demonstrate a high level of interest and competence in the role.
• Have an interest in the area of retrospective abuse and sexual abuse assessments.
• Have the ability to adapt to changing work environment.
• Have a professional approach to work
• Be flexible in work practice
• Have excellent communications skills with children and adults.
• Have access to a car and full drivers' licence.
