TTM Healthcare are currently looking to recruit an experienced Social Care Worker for our clients based in Kilkenny City. Our clients operate a number of residential services throughout Kilkenny supporting adults with intellectual disabilities, supporting them in various aspects of their daily lives from education to employment.
The Role
-The responsibility to work as part of a team to assist residents to lead a full and more independent life
-To work as part of the team with the line manager in ensuring that service objectives are met and reviewed
-To promote resident involvement, consultation and participation
-To manage risk in a way that is embedded in a culture of safety, welfare and quality of life for residents
-To support residents to have an enjoyable and fulfilling home life
Requirements
-A degree in Social Care, Social Studies, Nursing, Youth and Community Studies, Psychology or Social Work or other relevant qualification at degree level
-Experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities/complex needs
-Excellent communication skills with a proven ability to develop positive relationships with residents in their care
-Computer literacy (desired)
