THE OPPORTUNITY:
2x Social Care Worker vacancies - Maternity Leave Cover
Mulhuddart, Dublin15
Full time locum roles working Monday to Friday. The roles are to cover Maternity Leave vacancies on the Prevention Partnership and Family Support team.
THE BACKGROUND:
At TTM Healthcare we are proud to have partnered with the dedicated State agency responsible for improving wellbeing and outcomes for children based in Dublin. They have an available opportunity for two full time Social Care Workers with an expected contract duration of approximately 5 months.
THE RESPONSIBILITIES:
The overall responsibility within this role will be to:
• Work with approx.10 families on issues such as parenting and daily routine
• Direct work with the child around socialisation, school engagement
• Linking to therapeutic work; creative summers camping or 1:1 work
• A lot of work will be working with children pre or post Social Worker interventions
• To promote the participation of children and young people in decision making on issues that affect their lives at both individual and collective levels
• To liaise the parents, family, general services and other agencies on behalf of the young person and promote on plan of support
THE REQUIREMENTS:
To be eligible for the role, you will need to:
Have a recognised qualification at National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ), Level 7 or higher, in Social Care Studies
- A recognised qualification as a Social Care Worker
- Full permission to work in Ireland
- Access to a car and full driving license
- Excellent communications skills with children and adults
- Professional approach to work
- Ability to adapt to changing work environment
