THE OPPORTUNITY:
Locum Senior Speech & Language Therapist - Portmarnock, Dublin
ASAP start, 3-month contract initially

They have an available opportunity for a Senior SLT in their Adults Speech and Language Service.

THE RESPONSIBILITIES:
The overall responsibility within this role;
• Work with adults who present with a range of communication needs including speech, language, fluency and voice impairments, and dysphagia
• Provide assessment, diagnosis and therapy for adults presenting with a wide range of communication difficulties.
• Assessment and Intervention with these clients is typically undertaken within the Primary Care setting.
• Work with other members of the Primary Care team as appropriate.
• Provide advice and support to service users and their families.
THE REQUIREMENTS:
To be eligible for the role, you will need:
• A recognised qualification as a Speech & Language Therapist.
• Full CORU registration.
• Full driving license and access to own mode of transport.
• Ability to adapt to changing work environment.
• Dysphagia experience essential.
• Staff Grade SLT's with 3+ years of experience may be considered eligible for this Senior Grade post.
• Professional approach to work
• Flexibility in work practice
• Experience in working with this client group is preferable - not essential.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, teamwork and effective caseload management skills.
• Good planning, organisation and effective time management skills together with the ability to work on your own initiative.
