TTM Healthcare are currently working for a Senior Radiographer to join one of Ireland's Leading Private Organisations in Dublin
As a Senior Radiographer, you will work across the Radiography Service, in particular of MRI, CT and Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratory, and play a crucial part in delivering access to care and patient experience

Role:
•Undertake all Radiographic Imaging Examinations as required in the Diagnostic Imaging Department, in particular in MRI, CT and Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratory and including General Radiography, DEXA, Theatre and Interventional/Fluoroscopy Radiology.
•Carry out high standard, best practise, clinical imaging when required and be professionally responsible for all aspects of own work, maintaining highest standards of patient care.
•Maintain an effective and efficient high quality radiographic service for the Diagnostic Imaging Department.
•Demonstrate flexibility in accordance with the various shift patterns and the service needs of the Department, and partake in the Departments' radiographic rota.
•Participate in an on-call rota basis as and when required.
•Perform Intravenous cannulation.
•Liaise with other departments, GPs, Consultants, Secretaries and colleagues to ensure effective patient management.
•Ensure adherence to all codes and guidelines relating to professional practise including the management of a departmental Quality Assurance programme.
•Assist in evaluation, logging and reporting of imaging & equipment faults and that regular monitoring is undertaken in audit.

Requirements:

•Hold excellent theoretical and practical knowledge of all General, DEXA, Theatre and Interventional/Fluoroscopy Radiology and preferably also of Cath Lab, MRI and CT examinations, enabling modification of protocols with close consultation with specialist Radiologists.
•Familiarise themselves in the operation and use of new pieces of imaging equipment and provide guidance to staff in correct use of same.
•Participate in orientation programmes and clinical tutoring of new staff and if necessary existing staff.
•Assess new employees for skills/competencies and provide best practise training and supervision to members of staff, ensuring correct clinical techniques and correct use of imaging equipment and accessories.
•Exercise professional accountability at all times and to be aware of their developments needs/limitations and actively seek to address these where necessary
•Complete in-house mandatory training.
•Maintain knowledge of departmental policies, protocols and guidelines.
•Promote and support the quality process within the Hospital and to implement quality standards ensuring a quality service is delivered at all times.

Essential Requirements:

•Diploma of College of Radiographers or Degree in Radiography
•CORU registration and maintenance of such is essential
•Post graduate qualification is desirable
•Minimum 3 years post graduate experience
•Pro-activity, Flexibility, Adaptability
•Excellent Communication and Interpersonal skills
•Demonstrate high quality care and empathy with each patient
