THE OPPORTUNITY:
Locum Speech & Language Therapist - Monaghan
ASAP start, 3-month contract initially

At TTM Healthcare we are proud to have partnered with Monaghan Childrens Disability Services.
They have an available opportunity for an SLT on the Children's Disability Team, working with children with complex needs arising from a disability.

THE RESPONSIBILITIES:
The overall responsibility within this role will be to
• Assessment, differential diagnosis, intervention with and management of children with communication and/or swallowing disorders
• Engage in multidisciplinary working so that Service Users will benefit from a holistic approach.
• Attend and participate in Team meetings.
• Train and assess Speech & Language Therapy students.
• Educate and train parents, families, caregivers and communication partners of clients with communication and swallowing disorders, along with other professionals involved in their care.
• Ensure compliance with the Disability Act 2005 and complete requirements of the Assessment of Needs.
THE REQUIREMENTS:
To be eligible for the role, you will need:
• A recognised qualification as a Speech & Language Therapist.
• Full CORU registration.
• Ability to adapt to changing work environment.
• Professional approach to work
• Flexibility in work practice
• Experience in working with this client group is preferable - not essential.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, teamwork and effective caseload management skills.
• Good planning, organisation and effective time management skills together with the ability to work on your own initiative.
