TTM Healthcare are currently recruiting for a Senior Paediatric Clinical or Counselling Psychologist to come an join one of Ireland's Leading Private Organisations based in South Dublin.

Overall Purpose of Job

•Design, co-ordinate and deliver an effective and efficient Paediatric Psychology Service in collaboration with Allied Therapy Manager and Principal Clinical Psychologist.
•Develop and administer the highest quality of service by identifying and implementing operational procedures in line with best practice standards.
•Keep abreast with new developments, skills and technology to ensure continuing competence in the job.
•Enhance his/her skills in order to initiate and respond to changes in the work environment as additional roles may be demanded e.g. data analysis, clinical audit, continued professional development and research.
•Design and Deliver a Paediatric Psychology programme in line with the needs of the hospital.
•Work with Allied Therapy Manager and Principal Clinical Psychologist and relevant clinical areas to ensure all programmes advance the quality of patient care.
•Develop and carry out audits to ensure that the Psychology Service satisfies Beacon Hospital quality and patient safety standards and any other applicable performance measures
•Promote and be an advocate for a just culture ensuring patient safety is at the forefront of all patient care delivery.
•Develop policies, procedures and plans that supports the Hospital 's aims and operations
•Elicit feedback from stakeholders and identify potential improvement opportunities on a continuous basis and at the very least on an annual basis.

Key Requirements:

•A recognised University degree in which psychology was taken as a major subject and honours obtained in that subject and
•A recognised postgraduate professional psychological qualification in Clinical or Counselling Psychology
•Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years' experience as a Clinical or Counselling Psychologist (including 3 years of training) with two qualified years working in a paediatric setting.
•This role will involve building a paediatric psychology service with a focus on therapeutic intervention with a range of paediatric mental health presentations.
•Demonstrate strong team player attributes whilst also displaying an ability to work on own initiative.
•Demonstrate excellent organisational skills with attention to detail and an ability to work towards deadlines
•Demonstrate an ability to manage and develop self and others in a busy working environment.
•Demonstrate flexibility and openness to change.
•Demonstrate a commitment to continuing professional development.
•Demonstrate a willingness to develop IT skills relevant to the role.
•Demonstrate an ability to write reports, correspondence and procedural manuals.
•Demonstrate ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from consultants, hospital staff and external stakeholders.
