TTM Healthcare are currently working with one of Ireland’s leading Children’s Disability Services in the search of a Senior Occupational Therapist in the Dublin Area

This Senior Occupational Therapy post is being recruited for a caseload of children with moderate intellectual disabilities, complex sensory and physical needs. The successful candidate is required to work as part of MDT teams that provides services to 6-18-year-olds school children who attend schools mainly in North West Dublin Catchment Area.

The candidate is also required to work in partnership with families within a family focused model.
The job requires extensive school visits and home visits in different locations, therefore own car is essential.

Essential Requirements:

• BSc in Occupational Therapy or an equivalent CORU registered Occupational Therapy qualification.
• Full Clean Driving Licence with use of a car
• Applicants should possess Level 2 behavioural competencies of DOCDSS competency framework as set out in the job descriptions.

Requirements:

• Must be registered with CORU
• Have at least three year post graduate experience working with children with complex needs.
• Experience in sensory processing/integration, posture management. Ideally post graduate training in sensory processing/sensory based interventions.
• Demonstrate an understanding of the relevant approaches used when working with children with intellectual disabilities.
• Have an interest in the development of student and staff grade supervision skills
• Have excellent communication, interpersonal, teamwork and effective caseload management skills.
• You must possess good planning, organisation and effective time management skills together with the ability to work on their own initiative.

This is a Fixed Term Mat Leave Contract – 12mts
