Senior Medical Scientist (Microbiology), required by TTM Healthcare, on behalf of a North Dublin Hospital.
As Senior Medical Scientist in Microbiology, duties will include playing a key role in the organisation, delivery and development of the Microbiology service, participating in future development of the Laboratory Service, and assisting in leading and training a team of skilled staff, as well as identifying and implementing operational processes in microbiology to the standards of best practice' in order to optimise use of resources.
This is a full-time, fixed term position, working 37 hours per week, of 9 months' duration.
Key Requirements:
•BSc and MSc in Biomedical Science - only ACSLM/CORU approved degrees can be considered
•CORU registration
•Minimum 4 years' post-graduate experience in a Microbiology laboratory
•High capacity for responsibility and individual initiative
•Be able to demonstrate a patient focused approach
•Computer literate
•Excellent interpersonal skills
•Possess a good knowledge of quality improvement initiatives
