Senior Medical Scientist (Microbiology), required by TTM Healthcare, on behalf of a North Dublin Hospital.
As Senior Medical Scientist in Microbiology, duties will include, but are not limited to, participating in the development of the Laboratory Service, assisting the Chief Medical Scientist and Laboratory Manager in leading and training a team of skilled staff, identifying and implementing operational processes in microbiology to the standards of best practice' in order to optimise use of resources and performing routine and specialised work to the highest professional standards.
This is a full-time, fixed term position of 1 year duration. Working hours are 37 per week, as well as on-call obligation.
Key Requirements:
•BSc and MSc in Biomedical Science - only ACSLM/CORU approved degrees can be considered
•CORU registration is essential
•Minimum 4 years' experience in a Medical Microbiology laboratory
•Demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of Microbiology practice and procedures
•High capacity for responsibility and individual initiative
•Excellent interpersonal skills
