TTM Healthcare have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Cardiac Physiologist to work in one of Ireland's Leading Private Healthcare Organisations based in Dublin.

As a Senior Cardiac Physiologist will undertake the duties appropriate to the work of the Cardiology Department/Cath Lab that carries out a wide range of investigations, including the following, which is not an exhaustive list:

•ECGs Recording / Interpretation, and highlighting abnormal findings
•24 hour Holter monitoring, patient hook up and technical downloading/analysis interpretation
•24 hour Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring, patient hook up and analysis of same
•Event Recording, patient hook up and analysis
•Stress Electrocardiography, patient hook up and interpretation
•Transthoracic and Transoesophageal Echocardiography
•Pacing and ICD Implantation and Follow-up support
•Coronary Angiography and Percutaneous Intervention

Duties & Responsibilities:

•Performing procedures, reporting and highlighting abnormal Recordings
•Carrying out calibration and routine maintenance of all equipment, which includes sterilisation where necessary
•Ascertain & record patient history details and interpret requisition forms
•Participation in patient care, i.e. preparation and reassurance of patient
•Maintain accurate and adequate patient database and records
•Demonstrate commitment to in-service training of students and technicians
•Be pro-active and function effectively and quickly in an emergency situations including Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
•Assist in the review and monitoring of cardiology policies, documentation & systems
•Take responsibility for keeping up to date with cardiology literature, recent relevant research and new developments in cardiology
•Promote the aims of the Hospital by developing and maintaining networks with other relevant service providers in education and clinical practice
•Comply with Quality Standards & Health & Safety regulations striving for continuous improvement and safe working practices at all times.
•Deputise for other staff including the Chief II / Chief I Cardiac Technician in their absence and/or as required
•Perform such other duties appropriate to the office that may reasonably be required


Requirements:

•B.Sc. in Clinical Measurement Science, the Certificate in Medical Physics and Physiological Measurement or hold an equivalent qualification
•An Associate of the Society of Cardiological Science and Technology
•Post graduate education (IHRBE/BSE) accreditation desirable

•Electrophysiology clinical experience and post graduate education is desirable
