TTM Healthcare have an opportunity for a Nurse Manager of a 20 bedded respite centre providing a home away from home providing a wholesome and professional care for residents.
Our client is looking for a PIC to Join them and manage the respite centre. The ideal candidate would have to have strong experience in Management with a good knowledge of HIQA.
The Successful candidate will have the support from the Board of Management along with the CNM.

Managerial Responsibilities:
To manage the service to ensure the individual needs of the people who use the Respite Care Centre are met, supporting them holistically to lead life to the full, whilst at the same time providing a home away from home' environment.
To ensure full assessment of the needs of each person who uses the Respite Care Centre are thoroughly undertaken and, based on those assessments, the relevant information is cascaded to appropriate staff.
To be responsible for the implementation of all the Respite Centre's policies and procedures
To be responsible for strategy, policy and practice development, education and professional duties imposed by statute or determination
To co-ordinate efficient and effective resource utilisation and staffing levels (skill mix, staffing, bed occupancy etc).
To utilise advanced skills in patient assessment and undertake appropriate clinical decisions accordingly
To communicate with residents, families/carers, G.Ps, Public Health Nurses or anyone else involved in resident's care to ensure a patient-focused service
controlled within budget and identify potential for savings through improved practice and innovation
To ensure all Health & Safety statutory requirements and Fire procedures are complied with and that incidents are reported and investigated in accordance with established HSE & HIQA standards and requirements
To manage duty rosters ensuring service needs are covered
To oversee the process of Clinical Risk Management ensuring regular review is in line with current legislation
To audit clinical practice, display results and acting upon any issues that may arise
To inform the Board of Directors of issues relating to the management of the service, present reports and other information as necessary
To investigate patient complaints in accordance with HSE and the Respite Care Centres complaints policy.
To maintain confidentiality regarding all aspects of the affairs of the Respite Care Centre and the people who avail of the service
To provide nursing care as part of the rota should the need arise
To promote the service of the Respite Care Centre by visiting health centres, attending health promotions, developing relationships with GP's, PHN's and other relevant disciplines

Requirements
• Be registered in the Relevant Division of the Register of Nurses maintained by An Board Altranais, or to be entitled to be so registered;
• Have at least 5 years post registration experience of which 3 must be in the speciality or related area i.e. Older Persons
• Have the clinical, managerial and administrative capacity to properly discharge the functions of the role.
• Demonstrate evidence of continuing professional development at the appropriate level.
