Registered Nurse (Maternity Contract) - (Full Time Hours) - Co. Galway - IMMEDIATE START

At TTM Healthcare we are proud to have partnered with one of the largest independent Healthcare providers of quality nursing home care in Ireland who are recruiting a Staff Nurse for a maternity contract (full time hours) for a Care Home Facility based 15 minutes from Galway City. This 50+ Bedded Care Home offers residential care for residents living with dementia. It also provides respite care to give home carers a much needed break, or rehabilitation after a hospital stay. This nursing home provides a high standard of care 24 hours a day. Their dedicated care team will be continuously trained to care for residents varying and individual needs. They cater for both short and long term respite care. Convalescent care will also be available for those recovering from surgery.
The Responsibilities :
Reporting to the Director of Nursing the successful candidates will essentially be responsible for the provision of long stay care for clients.
The overall responsibility within this role will be to ensure that all work is client focused and upholds the principles of choice, respect, dignity, privacy, independence and fulfillment.
Your Educational :
Must be on the live register with NMBI
Your Communication Responsibilities:
Must possess excellent communication and team lead skills and work well in a team environment.
THE REQUIREMENTS:
To be eligible for the role, you will need to:
Must have a minimum of 1- 2 years experience in gerontology / Care of the Older person.
Must have excellent knowledge and understanding of HIQA and standards pertained to Care of the Older Person.
