Position : Practice Nurse - Part-Time Permanent (2 Days per week) Gp Practice in Co. Wexford
Location : Gp Practice and Medical Centre, Wexford
Our client a Gp Practice and Medical Centre based in Wexford are actively looking to recruit a Practice Nurse on a Part-time Permanent basis working 2 Days per week.
Hours of Surgery : 9am - 6pm (Mon, Tue, Thurs and Friday) and 9am - 1pm (Wed)
The successful candidate should have great interpersonal skills, computer skills and someone who enjoys multi-tasking.
• Provide day to day urgent treatment of patients
• Set up patient screening and recalls as appropriate
• Undertake professional nursing development and liaise with other health professionals as appropriate
• Maintaining Stock material and medication supplies and ensuring acceptable adequate supplies are at hand
• Work with and ensure that the IT practice software (Socrates) is up to date at all times
• Set up screening and recalls as appropriate
• Liaise with other health professionals when appropriate
• Undertake professional nursing development
• Undertake the following procedures as required - cervical smears (training provided) ), vaccinations, 24-hour blood pressure monitoring and phlebotomy.
• Design and implement workplace procedures
• Overseeing billing procedures and debt collection, cleaning and security
• Address patient complaints in a compassionate and timely fashion
Educational and essential requirements:
• Qualified Nurse with a BSc in Nursing.
• Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft business suite.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience post nursing qualification.
• Ability to work as part of a team with excellent attention to detail is essential.
Salary : €25 - €28 per hour
