TTM Healthcare are currently working with one of Ireland's Leading Private Organizations based in North Dublin for a Physiotherapy Manager Post. This Hospital is a 130 bed elective acute-care facility widely renowned for the quality of its service provision. The Hospital was the first in Ireland to receive formal quality accreditation by Joint Commission International and Joint Advisory Group for its Endoscopy unit. The Hospital attracts 30,000 patients per annum across a wide range of medical and surgical specialties.
The position requires a strategic approach to the development of services and structures, embracing continuous quality improvement and the management of changes necessary to achieve organisational objectives.
You will:
•Provide strategic and clinical leadership which results in the delivery of effective, efficient, quality assured and patient centred Physiotherapy service.
•Provide a high-quality professional physiotherapy service to inpatients/daycare and outpatients at through hands-on delivery of care, plus demonstration and education as appropriate.
•Develop a shared sense of commitment and participation among staff in the development of the service.
•Advise on equipment selection, purchase, replacement or upgrading. Ensure the purchase of all items of equipment is operated in an economic way consistent with quality, health and safety and budgetary guidelines.
•Participate in the preparation of plans for the service and monitor and report on their implementation as required.
•Participate and co-operate with any internal or external evaluation of the service..
•Manage the staff within the Physiotherapy Department in line with hospital policies and procedures,
•Maintain the confidentiality and integrity of patient records in line with hospital policy.
•Prepare annual financial estimates in respect of staffing including education and training needs.
•Participate in the overall financial planning of the service including the negotiation of resources and the assessment of priorities in pay and non-pay expenditure.
•Ensure expenditure is controlled within budget and identify potential for efficiency saving through improved practices and innovation.
This is a Full-time permanent position

Requirement:

•BSc in Physiotherapy and be a Member of the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists
•Have at least six years satisfactory post qualification experience
•Be registered on the Physiotherapists Register maintained by the Physiotherapists Registration Board at CORU
•Experience of evidence-based practice, service evaluation, planning, development, supervision and education
•Evidence of the ability to achieve results through effective collaboration in a complex environment
•Have completed a relevant management training programme and/or have substantial experience in the supervision and management of staff and resources
•Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with all members of the healthcare team, patients and relatives
•Have a high capacity for responsibility and individual initiative
•Demonstrate adaptability to the rapid changes taking place in the health services
•Show empathy and compassion
•Be a team player who works well with colleagues from different backgrounds, professions and discipline
