THE OPPORTUNITY:
Locum Paediatric Physiotherapist - Ballymun

ASAP start, 3-month contract initially


THE BACKGROUND:

At TTM Healthcare we are proud to have partnered with CHO Dublin North City and County.

They have an available opportunity for a Staff Grade Physiotherapist to work a mixed caseload of Paediatric (0-18) cases.

The successful candidate will work as part of an MDT that provides services to 0-18-year-old children. The successful candidate will also work in partnership with families within a family focused model. The workload involves home visits to children's family homes as part of therapy provision, within Covid-19 guidelines, as well as clinic work.

THE RESPONSIBILITIES:

The overall responsibility within this role will be to

• Examine and diagnose the service user's physical condition, drawing up and implementing recommendations and treatment programmes, as appropriate.
• Monitor and assess the service user's progress and make adjustments as necessary to the recommendations and treatment programmes.
• Maintain comprehensive records of service users's assessment, interventions carried out and communications relating to service users.
• Maintain detailed records and submit records or other statistical information relating to physiotherapy or service users, as required.
• Liaise with other disciplines in relation to the service user's needs.
• Provide on-going support, information and assistance to families and carers in carrying out physiotherapy recommendations with service users.
• Advise on footwear, orthotics and other appliances which are most suitable for the service users, where appropriate.
• Review prescribed footwear, orthotics and appliances regularly and arrange repair or replacement, as necessary.
• Strive to improve the posture and mobility of the service user and ensure that each person has every opportunity to achieve his/her full physical potential.
• Treat the service user after injury or surgery and if necessary liaise with other agencies or hospitals.
• Assess and treat service users with respiratory needs, as appropriate.
• Maintain high standard of infection control at all times.
• Report any accidents and complaints immediately and provide follow-up forms and information as required.


THE REQUIREMENTS:

To be eligible for the role, you will need:

• A recognised qualification as a Physiotherapist.
• Full CORU registration.
• Ability to adapt to changing work environment.
• Professional approach to work.
• Flexibility in work practice.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, teamwork and effective caseload management skills.
• Good planning, organisation and effective time management skills together with the ability to work on your own initiative.
