Mid-West Regional Development Officer - CYSTIC FIBROSIS IRELAND/TLC4CF

THE OPPORTUNITY:
Mid-West Regional Development Officer (10+ months)

THE BACKGROUND:
We are proud to have partnered with TLC4CF in Limerick, to recruit for a regional development officer on a full time basis for a period of at least 10 months. Our team currently work across multiple locations and grades within this service providing support for multiple sites.The location is well provided for by public transport. Several Bus Eireann bus routes serve the hospital.
Interested applicants must be available full time Monday to Friday 9am-4.30pm.

THE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support and facilitate the improvement of hospital services for people with CF in the Mid-West area (with support from TLC4CF committee and CFI Head Office)
• Administrative support and project manage a variety of ongoing projects with the aim of improving the lives of people with CF
• Support the preparation of meetings with UHL, CFI and TLC4CF
• Provide an information and personal advocacy service for members living with CF and their families (in partnership and support from CFI head office in Dublin)
• Support TLC4CF fundraising initiatives linked to CF projects in the Mid-West Region


Your Educational Responsibilities:
Experience in development type work such as coordinating projects either in Ireland or abroad Ideally a third level qualification in social sciences/community or local development; or considerable experience in community or local development

Your Communication Responsibilities:
Fluent written and spoken English and excellent report writing skills.


Your Health and Safety Responsibilities:
In order to work in a Healthcare setting you must have the appropriate level of medical clearance. Candidates will need an up to date fit to work certificate from their doctor along with any mandatory vaccinations.

THE REQUIREMENTS:
To be eligible for the role, you will need to:
• An understanding of the health system in Ireland
• An understanding of broader social policy
• Interaction with statutory agencies on public service issues
• Ability to drive a car
• Ability to work strategically
• Must have eligibility to work in Ireland.
• Have a minimum of 3 months recent experience
• Have fluent written & spoken English.
• Fit to work certificate
• Must have (or be willing to complete) training as required.
