TTM Healthcare currently have an exciting opportunity for a Laboratory Manager, on behalf of Ireland's largest independent hospital group, for a role based in Limerick.
The state of the art Pathology Department carries out a full range of Haematology, Biochemistry, Endocrinology, Immunology, Microbiology and Serology/Virology tests.
As Laboratory Manager, you will be responsible for the daily delivery of the laboratory service to meet the operational needs of the hospital.
This is a full-time, fixed term post, working 37 hours per week.
Key Requirements:
•BSc in Biomedical Science (must be ACSLM approved degree) with additional qualifications in Quality
•Management, Health & Safety or Risk Management highly desirable
•Eligible for Fellowship of The Academy of Medical Laboratory Sciences
•Membership of or have commenced registration with CORU
•Previous experience in management and delivery of a comprehensive pathology service is highly desirable
•Previous quality assurance experience
•Experience managing a team and providing leadership and direction
•Have a good knowledge and understanding of Joint Commission International and knowledge of the INAB accreditation to include standard ISO 15189
•Excellent report writing skills with ability to emphasise the important points in a clear and concise manner
