Intellectual Disability Nurse- Limerick
THE BACKGROUND:
At TTM Healthcare we are proud to have partnered with a well-established Intellectual Disability Group based in the Limerick area. This residential service is based 20 minutes from Limerick city. There is availability for an Agency Nurse with excellent experience, skills and knowledge.
THE RESPONSIBILITIES:
The overall responsibility within this role will be to provide care and guidance to the service users with respect and dignity. Day and night shifts are both available with the majority of the shifts been 12 hours. Day service hours, Monday to Friday can also be discussed within this service. Regular shift patterns available. Challenging behaviour experience will be required. If you are a General Nurse with Intellectual Disability experience this role may also be an option for you.
THE REQUIREMENTS:
To be eligible for the role, you will need to:
• Be a registered staff nurse and registered with the NMBI
• Have up to date training or willing to complete training required eg - CPR. PMH, Fire Safety, Safe Guarding of Vulnerable Adults-Mapa
• Have availability for weekly shifts or at least 4-5 shifts a month
• Have excellent communication skills
• Have experience in working in the Intellectual Disability Sector.
