TTM Healthcare are currently sourcing a suitable Support Worker, for a disability service based in Mountshannon, Co. Clare.
This service require someone to work specifically with 1 service user, who resides at the service. The organisation aims to promote their independence through involving them in the community and social goings-on in the area. The service user is active in the maintenance of the garden and surrounding area, so a keen interest in the outdoors is required.
They are looking for someone who can commit to approx 20hrs per week. This is generally made up of weekday shifts of 5hrs in length and some weekend shifts also, which are longer in duration.
Required Education, Skills and Qualifications:
• A minimum of a FETAC 5 in Healthcare or a Social Care Degree - Level 7 minimum.
• Previous experience in a caring/support/ monitoring role working with children and adults who present with intellectual and physical disabilities.
• Knowledge of HIQA standards.
• Have fluent written and spoken English and excellent report writing skills.
• Be available for a minimum of 27 hours per week.
Training's required:
• Patient Manual handling
• Child Protection
• Fire Safety
• Safe Guarding of Vulnerable Adults
• Infection Prevention and Control
• MAPA
