TTM are recruiting a panel of experienced Support Workers/ Healthcare Assistants to work within an intellectual disability service in Tullaroan, Co. Kilkenny.
Working Hours: 35 hours per week
Shift Patterns: Mixture
Job Summary:
We are looking for enthusiastic, experienced Support Workers to care for a residents ages 6 - 17 years old with moderate to severe Intellectual disability and Autism.
This role would involve working with the service users and assisting them in all the activities of daily living.
The residents enjoy outings to the local playground, parks, swimming pool and cinema.
This job is for qualified, experienced Support Workers to on a locum basis as agency staff. Candidates would need to be flexible to cover a range of shifts including days, nights, and sleepovers.
Candidates must be available for a minimum of 27 hours per week.
Required Education, Skills and Qualifications:
A minimum of a QQI Level 5 (Healthcare/Pre nursing/SNA etc) or a Social Care Degree - Level 7 minimum.
Previous experience in a caring/support/ monitoring role working with children and adults who present with intellectual and physical disabilities.
Knowledge of HIQA standards.
Have fluent written and spoken English and excellent report writing skills.
Be available for a minimum of 27 hours per week.
Training's required:
Patient Manual handling
Child Protection
Fire Safety
Safe Guarding of Vulnerable Adults
Infection Prevention and Control
