Head of Quality, Safety and Risk

TTM Healthcare are currently recruiting for a Head of Quality, Safety & Risk (QSR) to lead the QSR across a large private healthcare organisation. The post holder will be responsible for the creation, enhancement and implementation of the QSR framework. Ensure that all clinical legal, statutory, regulatory, licensing, credentialing and accreditation requirements are fully secured and maintained at each facility and promote and pursue a culture and programme of continuous quality improvement across all teams.

The Head of Quality, Safety & Risk will report directly into the Chief Clinical Officer.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Lead the QSR team, providing an environment to excel, role clarity and constructive feedback to enable learning and growth within the team and foster a psychologically safe culture.
  • Develop a framework for health system accreditation and ensure alignment with other organisational priorities.
  • Develop a system to ensure the service is compliant with all relevant clinical legal, statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop a programme to embed proactive risk management throughout all levels of the company with the implementation of a risk assurance framework which ensures identified risks are managed and controlled appropriately.
  • Put in place systems to maximise system-wide anticipation of risks and hazards, sharing of learning and enhancement of processes.
  • Nurture a culture in which key decisions consider possible risks, and people are trained and educated effectively with regard to risk consideration.
  • Develop informative quality metrics, including the identification of key measures of patient experience and patient reported outcomes and lead initiatives to enhance patient experience.
  • Another other duties deem appropriate by your line manager

Requirements:

  • 5 years in a senior QSR role in a clinical setting
  • Clinical background with clinical experience
  • 3rd Level qualification in healthcare, quality, safety and risk
  • Must be able to demonstrate knowledge in developing, implementing and managing quality and patient safety programmes in a large healthcare organisation.
  • Must have experience operating in a strategic manner.
