WE are currently looking to recruit an Environmental Health and Safety officer for a leading Disabilities Service provider in County Wicklow.
Reporting to the Quality, Compliance and Training manager the role will involve working with management, and staff on all health & safety matters.
Liaising with external agencies (eg. HSA, Fire Officer, Insurance inspectors/auditors, etc.) as required.
Responsible for company compliance and continual improvement in Health & Safety through audit and review of management systems & programmes
To conduct risk assessments and in-depth health and safety audits
Investigate, track & maintain records of accidents/incidents
Manage all building maintenance and essential works contracts for all locations
Locate/negotiate acquisition of properties in line with the objectives of SCA
Liaise with architects / surveyors / local authorities as required during all stages of the development process
Initiate and oversee the tendering process to ensure that contractual arrangements comply with statutory and organisational requirements
You will need to be
An experienced professional with a proven track record in all areas of Environmental Health & Safety.
You need the necessary skills to ensure company compliance and continual improvement through the development and implementation of quality systems, policies and procedures in line with legislative requirements and best practice.
The organisation has over 130 employees providing care to over 60 servive users across respite , residential and day Services.
