Director of Nursing - Aged Centred Care

Our client is small size nursing home situated in Sligo with close access to Sligo Town. This home is commutable from a variety of destinations inc Roscommon, Mayo, and Leitrim.
Our client is looking for a DON to join them on a full-time capacity, this home is part of an outstanding organisation that are known for their excellent working conditions and high levels of staff.
The client is looking to make the right package for a candidate, and this would inc Pension, Bonus and much more. Salary for this home would be €80,000 plus pending on experience. This home really does run itself and has an excellent HIQA report.
Requirements:
The successful applicant: Must be a registered nurse (on, or eligible to be on, the live register of nurses maintained by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland, NMBI.
Possess strong leadership skills.
Must have 7 years relevant post registration nursing experience.
Must have (within the last 6 years) a minimum 3 years' relevant experience, caring for the older person.
Must possess (within the last 6 years) a minimum of 3 years management/supervisory experience, including team leadership with resource planning and allocation.
Must have the ability to communicate effectively with residents, relatives/visitors, employees, management and external bodies e.g. GPs, hospitals, HSE, HIQA, etc.
Post-registration qualification in Gerontology or Dementia Care and post-registration qualification in healthcare management or equivalent will be an advantage.
In the absence of such a qualification, the appointee will be required to undertake such training.
