Position : Director of Nursing DON - Cork
Location : County Cork
Full-time, Permanent
Our Client a medium sized Care Home which boasts a low staff turnaround and an excellent support structure are currently recruiting a Director of Nursing to join their team.
To be responsible for:
Recruiting adequate levels of staffing within company guidelines
Training and development of staff
Ttermination of employment/dismissal and all disciplinary procedures
General :
1. To maintain a good relationship with all external bodies and meet all regulatory and statutory requirements
2. To act on other directions given about the care centre in a prompt and effective manner.
3. To carry out all tasks, assessments and investigations outlined in the company's policies and procedures and to maintain a full awareness of those procedures and all amendments and updates thereto.
4. To carry out other duties as will, from time to time be directed.
5. To carry out all duties in a safe manner having regard for the health and safety and welfare of self, staff, residents and other persons within.
The ideal candidate will have the following:
BSC in nursing
Post grad in similar setting
Excellent Standing with HIQA
Excellent governance and management skills
Ability to develop relationships and communicate well with family members and patients
