Director of Nursing Aged Centred Care

Our client is small nursing home situated in Mayo, This is a small home approx. 30 beds and an excellent opportunity for a ADON to step up to a DON role or perhaps a DON looking to step down.
Our client is looking for a DON to lead them into the future. The unique design of this facility offers residents a tranquil environment with excellent care.
As the Director of Nursing you will have excellent support from Management, Operations Manager, ADON CNM and Staff Nurses
Requirements: -
The successful applicant: Must be a registered nurse (on, or eligible to be on, the live register of nurses maintained by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland, NMBI.
Possess strong leadership skills
Must have 7 years relevant post registration nursing experience.
Must have (within the last 6 years) a minimum 3 years' relevant experience, caring for the older person.
Must possess (within the last 6 years) a minimum of 3 years management/supervisory experience, including team leadership with resource planning and allocation.
Must have the ability to communicate effectively with residents, relatives/visitors, employees, management and external bodies e.g. GPs, hospitals, HSE, HIQA, etc. Post-registration qualification in Gerontology or Dementia Care and post-registration qualification in healthcare management or equivalent will be an advantage. In the absence of such a qualification, the appointee will be required to undertake such training.
