THE OPPORTUNITY:
Locum Dietitian - Donegal
ASAP start, 12-month contract initially
THE BACKGROUND:
At TTM Healthcare we are currently recruiting a Community Dietitian for a period of up to 1 year on behalf of HSE in Letterkenny, Co. Donegal.
They have an available opportunity for a Dietitian to work a mixed caseload of both Adult and Paediatric Primary Care cases. environments.

THE RESPONSIBILITIES:
The overall responsibility within this role will be to
• Work closely with other members of an MDT to provide optimum patient care.
• Carry out nutritional assessment of patients while in the hospital setting.
• Where necessary, organise nutritional support (tube feeding or intravenous feeding).
• Provide advice/education on areas such as Cholesterol lowering and lipid modification, secondary prevention of heart disease and stroke, Diabetes, Cystic Fibrosis, weight reducing and weight management, weight gain (post illness/surgery), Gastrointestinal disorders, swallowing difficulties, etc.
• Carry out nutritional assessments of service users and design care plans to meet nutritional requirements or correct poor nutritional status.
THE REQUIREMENTS:
To be eligible for the role, you will need:
• A recognised qualification as aDietitian.
• Full CORU Registration.
• Ability to adapt to changing work environment.
• Professional approach to work
• Flexibility in work practice
• Excellent communications skills with children and adults.
• Access to a car and full drivers' licence.
