Deputy Testing Centre Coordinator - Galway -Temporary
Deputy Testing Centre Coordinator required for full time hours to work in a static covid testing unit in Galway. The expected contract duration of this post is minimum 3 months.
The Covid-19 Community Testing service has evolved, developed and expanded in response to the Pandemic. Covid-19 Testing is a critical element of the HSE response to the Pandemic.
The Deputy Testing Centre Coordinator role has been identified as a core requirement of the future model and capability to run the service. Its core remit will focus on collaboration with Leadership across the Community Healthcare Organisations including the General Manager for Covid, CHO Testing Leads etc. to deliver all aspects of testing such as supporting deployment of swabbing resources to outbreak or offsite testing.
The Deputy Testing Centre Coordinator works closely with the Testing Centre Coordinator in the management of the Testing Centre.
The Deputy Testing Centre Coordinator will act as supervisor for staff assigned to the Testing Centre including Community Swabbers in the absence of the Testing Centre Coordinator.
Under the direction of the Testing Centre Coordinator the Deputy Testing Centre Coordinator will assist in the overall Clinical and Management Governance for the Testing Centre in the absence of the Testing Centre Coordinator:
Requirements:
• Have a relevant professional qualification in a Health and Social Care profession (AHP) or Nursing and where appropriate, have statutory registration or professional registration/accreditation.
• Have a minimum 3 years post grad experience.
• Have the requisite knowledge and ability (including a high standard of suitability and management ability) for the proper discharge of the duties of the office
• Experience working in a Covid 19 Test Centre setting in desirable.
