Location - Kilkenny (Small Residential Care Home) - OFFERING ACCOMMODATION !!!
Excellent opportunity for a Senior Nurse who wants to progress to CNM with an independent small residential care home in Kilkenny that offers a great team ethic and support with this role. This client has excellent HIQA Reports and can also offer accommodation with the role if someone is looking to relocate to Kilkenny
Clinical Nurse Manager (CNM) - Residential Care Home - Co. Kilkenny
Reports To:Director of Nursing / Deputy Director of Nursing
Benefits :
Supernumerary duties
10% extra for Sunday
Double time for Bank Holidays
No Night Duty involved for CNMs
Paid trainig days
Offer to pay for the Leadership and Management Course Level 6
Qualifications and Requirements :
Qualified nurse with at least 3years+ post graduate experience, on the register of nurses maintained by An Bord Altranais.
Knowledge of HIQA regulations and current legislative policies pertinent to Care of Older Persons.
Ability to manage change.
An ability to work well within a large team environment.
Must have Garda Clearance.
Must be able to provide 3 written references.
All applicants must have fluency in English both written and oral and hold a valid work permit.
Key areas of responsibility:
Resident Care
Playing a central role in Assessing, Planning, Implementing and evaluating nursing care
Prioritising care needs of residents while ensuring care is individualised
Assisting in Managing the nursing home environment so that it is conducive to meeting the physical, psychological and social needs of residents
Preparing and Administrating Drugs in line with the Nursing Home policy and An Bord Altranais' guidelines
Ensuring residents hygiene/personal care needs are maintained to the highest standards while maintaining the residents dignity at all time
Assisting in the safekeeping of residents valuables
Providing Palliative care for dying residents and support for their residents
Variation to duties:
You may be required to undertake other duties as may reasonably be expected of you within the scope of the post
