TTM Healthcare are currently recruiting a Clinical Nurse Manager II on behalf of their Galway based client. The position has become available due to ongoing development and expansion.
This is a full time permanent role working 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday, days only.
The primary role of the CNM II will be the responsibility for the overall quality of service delivery to all patients within the In-Patient Unit (IPU) and the provision of professional, clinical leadership and management for all staff within the team. The CNM II will be responsible for the overall development of nursing staff, by means of in-service training, orientation of new staff and arranging for the clinical experience and supervision of nursing undergraduates and post graduates. To this end the candidate will have a recognised management qualification and relevant experience.
Requirements:
•Be a Registered General Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI)
•Have a minimum of 5 years' experience in Palliative Care with a background of acute experience,
•Have a minimum of 3 years' experience at CNM I /CNS level or its equivalent.
•Have a Post Graduate Diploma in Palliative Care (or similar e.g. Oncology, Haematology, Gerontology) - this is an essential requirement.
•Evidence of continuing professional development is essential.
•Demonstrated experience of working knowledge of Quality Systems (e.g. HIQA, CHKS, ISO, JCI)
•Possess well-developed interpersonal and effective organisational skills.
•Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills suited to the ethos and environment of the Hospice.
