Our client has 16 communities throughout Ireland an are looking for a clinical Lead to join them on a perm basis to coordinate these communities.

As a Clinical lead you will be based in the head office Kildare and will lead a team of 4 staff that you will coordinate between 16 communities depending on what is needed at the time. As a clinical lead you will be responsible to arranging medical training and assessments for residents with mild intellectual disabilities.

Purpose of the Role

To provide supervision & support to the Clinical team, co-ordinate national healthcare initiatives such as infection control and vaccination programmes and develop clinical risk management frameworks. To support the development and implementations of clinical compliance standards across all services including HIQA designated centres, home support, and adult services.

Duties & Responsibilities

The Clinical Lead will:
• Provide line management and supervision supports to all Clinical Support Officers.
• In partnership with the National Quality & safety Lead to develop and implemented the work
plan for the Clinical Function across individual communities and nationally.
• Manage and monitor the implementation of the Clinical Team's work plan to ensure it meets
its targets and objectives.
• Propose and contribute to innovation and change in the approach to residents/client care
delivery, and contribute to service planning process, based on best practice and under the
direction of National Quality & safety Lead.
• Identify barriers to the effective working of the clinical Team and to escalate these in a timely
manager and propose solutions as appropriate.
• Provide leadership in the development and implementation of standardised clinical and
healthcare policy, procedures and practice across assigned the organisation.
• Ensure that all Clinical Team practices are carried out, using evidence-based approach, to a
high standard in a safe environment maintaining the confidentiality and dignity of the
residents / client at all times.
