Location: Santry Dublin
Job Tyoe: Full Time Permanent
Salary: Starting at 76,000 DOE
On behalf of our clients, a clinic based in Santry, TTM Healthcare are currently looking to recruit an experienced and registered Chief Pharmacist to join their team.
Qualifications / Essential skills
Be registered in the Register of Pharmaceutical Chemists for Ireland, or be
entitled to be so registered
Have significant post-registration hospital experience
Possess the requisite knowledge and ability (including a high standard of
suitability) for the proper discharge of the duties of the office
Possess a high standard of administrative, managerial or business ability
Desirable Skills
Postgraduate Clinical qualification
Previous experience/participation in Hospital Accreditation Programme
Duties and responsibilities
Maintain, throughout the Hospital, awareness of the privacy of the patient in
relation to all hospital activities
Demonstrate behaviour consistent with the Values of the Hospital
Be accountable to the Chief Executive Officer
Outline of Duties and Responsibilities:
Promote the safe, effective and economic use of medicines within the
Hospital
Have overall responsibility for the provision of pharmaceutical services within
the Hospital
Actively participate in continuing education and research activities consistent
with the post
Identify and implement operational processes to the standards of best
practice in order to optimise the use of resources and ensure compliance with
statutory requirements;
Actively lead and participate in the future development of the pharmacy
service
Continue to develop the clinical service provided
Lead, co-ordinate and develop comprehensive pharmaceutical services of the
hospital
Ensure that work schedules and work programmes are created to provide for
the most effective, efficient and safe deployment of staff and other resources
Take responsibility for the purchasing and distribution of all medicines,
pharmaceuticals and other related items in a cost-effective manner
