Role: Chief 1 and Chief 2 Cardiac Physiologist

TTM Healthcare Solutions are delighted to be recruiting for a Chief 1 and Chief 2 Cardiac Physiologist for our client in Cork. Working with the multi-disciplinary team the Chief 1 will play a pivotal role in the development of this service in conjunction with the Chief 2. The Chief 2 Cardiac Physiologist will manage and support the team of Cardiac Physiologists and drive process improvement and efficiencies in the Heart and Vascular department.
Job Purpose:
Purpose of Chief 1 will be to diagnose, treat and care for patients referred to the Cardiology Department. The purpose of Chief 2 C ardiac Physiologist is to provide leadership in the development and delivery of services and structures in the department focusing on excellent patient care.
Key Requirements:
Both Chief 1 and 2 should:
• Possess the BSc in Clinical Measurement from Dublin Institute of Technology or Technology University Dublin.
• Or possess an equivalent relevant scientific qualification (Level 8) as confirmed by the Irish Institute of Clinical Measurement Science (IICMS).
• Or possess the Certificate in Medical Physics and Physiological Measurement (MPPM) from Dublin Institute of Technology.
• Possess the Certificate in Medical Physics and Physiological Measurement (MPPM) from Dublin Institute of Technology or an equivalent scientific qualification as confirmed by the Irish Institute of Clinical Measurement Science awarded in or before 2005.
• Or a diploma in medical physics and physiological measurement from a college of technology or equivalent or degree in Clinical Measurement or equivalent.
Chief 1
• Applicants should be an associate of the Society for Cardiological Science and Technicians or equivalent.
• A diploma in medical physics and physiological measurement from a college of technology or equivalent or degree in Clinical Measurement or equivalent.
• Have 5 years post qualification experience with at least 3 years Echo, Cath and Pacing experience.
• Management experience is desirable but not essential.
• The successful candidate should possess good interpersonal skills and an awareness/sensitivity towards patient needs.
Chief 2
• Have 7 years post qualification experience with at least 3 years Echo, Cath and Pacing experience.
• Experience in budget management and business planning required.
• Demonstrable management experience of small to medium size teams is essential.
• Experience with department rostering, recruitment and training of junior staff is required.
