As a result of recent growth, TTM Healthcare are looking to place a number of Care Assistants with our client - a provider of services to adults with intellectual disabilities. These positions are based in Cork City and County.
While these positions relate to Day Shifts ONLY, TTM also offer work in similar services, where nights shifts are available.
As part of TTM's locum team, you can expect weekly full time hours, that fit around your other commitments.
The feedback from this client noted that TTM agency staff play a vital part in their ability to provide essential services to their service users. Of the TTM staff surveyed, over 70% of them stay in this role in excess of 6 months.
What's involved:
- Providing hands on care to adults with intellectual disabilities
- Co-ordinating and carrying out activities
- Social outings
- Following specific care plans tailored for each service user
- Working as part of the care team to enhance the quality of the service users life
What you need:
- Full FETAC level 5 qualification in a Healthcare course (full 8 modules)
- Drivers licence and access to your own transport (desirable)
- Flexibility regarding your availability to work shifts
- Eligibility to work in Ireland
- Fluent written & spoken English
- Great communication skills
Registration:
- To be eligible to work in this service you will require the following:
- Patient Moving & Handling training (PMH)
- Management of Actual & Potential Aggression training (MAPA)
- Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults training (SOVA)
- Fire Safety training
- Child Protection training
TTM will also carry out a Garda Vetting and conduct references in order to complete your registration.
