Care Assistant - Intellectual Disabilities - Cashel
We have opportunities for care assistants who are looking to get into the area of intellectual disabilities. Candidates coming from elderly care backgrounds are welcome to apply. A passion for intellectual disabilities (Autism, Down Syndrome etc) is essential. Experience with challenging behaviour essential also & full drivers licence.

These roles has arisen due to a new service user joining the service, and the team is expanding accordingly.
This a modern unit, which has been recently renovated. The unit has all the mod cons that the staff & service users alike will need. All service users have an input into the decoration of their rooms, they truly have their own personalised space.
To be eligible for the role, you will need to:
• QQI Level 5 in Healthcare Support
• Intellectual Disabilities experience - Autism, Down Syndrome etc
• Fluent English
• Full clean drivers licence
• Experience with challenging behaviour

These are 40 hour contracts. Staff are expected to be available for days, nights and weekends. Nights and weekends are fairly distributed, everyone does their fair share.
